INDOOR FLAG FOOTBALL IS COMING TO PORTLAND!
Get ready for fast-paced fun this season with our brand-new Youth Indoor Flag Football League — the first of its kind in the area!
This league gives players a chance to develop their skills, stay active through the colder months, and enjoy the excitement of football in a safe, no-contact indoor setting. Teams will practice good sportsmanship, teamwork, and game fundamentals while competing in a supportive, energetic environment.

DATES: Saturdays, Nov. 15 - Dec 27 2025
GAME TIMES: Between 11:00am - 2:00pm
LOCATION: Portland Sports Complex (Warren Ave)
TEAM FORMAT: COED
- 7U (grades K - 2) - 6 games plus a round robin at the end of the season (REGISTRATION CLOSED)
- 10U (grades 3 - 5) - 6 regular season games + single elimination playoffs (REGISTRATION CLOSED)
- 14U (grades 6 - 8) - 6 regular season games + single elimination playoffs (REGISTRATION CLOSED)
Whether you are new to flag football or a returning player, this league is a great way to stay in the game, make new friends, and experience football in a whole new way!
We are also looking for coaches and referees - experience helpful but not required.
PYFL Flag Football is fully compliant with NFL Flag Football rules and standards.

Portland Tide Winter Competition Cheer!
During the winter / competition season:
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
Registration fee $265
We will have multiple teams.
Each team focuses on creating a competition routine and works on skills, technique, and performance.
They will compete in 3–4 local competitions during the season, plus a “family & friends showcase.”
Practices are held 1–2 days per week. Practices are scheduled Monday and/or Thursday. K-3 will only have 1 practice a week. 4-8 will have 1 practice a week with a potential of 2. Practice will be located at Amanda C. Rowe Elementary School in the Gym.
The season will start November 17th to the end of March 30th.
Registration will be closed November 30th. Must be Registered by November 17th to attend the meet and greet for team placement.
Before moving into our first competition, teams will perform their routine in a preview/showcase.
*A fundraiser will be launched at the beginning of the season. Fundraising deadline December 15*

ABOUT Portland YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Portland Youth Football League is a community-based charitable, volunteer organization in Portland, Maine, charged with encouraging leadership and building character. We currently have a flag football program for players in grades K-5 for boys and girls, a youth tackle football program for players in grades 4-6, and a middle school tackle football team for kids in grades 7-8. All of our teams offer the opportunity to build a superior, fundamental football foundation.
Our ultimate goal is to safely provide our players with the football skills, fundamentals, and experiences to help them compete successfully and secure position placement on a local high school football team. Our youth program is just one of many coastal community football leagues reaching from Berwick to Bangor. We are always seeking Portland area youth passionately interested in developing, increasing, and enhancing their football skills as they progress through school.
We play our games every weekend (Saturday or Sunday) in the fall at Fitzpatrick Stadium and Deering Memorial Field, two of the finest high school football stadiums in the state of Maine.
